How do you want to use your picam?
Do you want to take a snapshot or stream a live video to a client? -
I want a live stream
-
What kind of client do you want to use?
Possible it would be the best choise to use the mjpg-streamer:
Installation des mjpg-streamer.
For this topic I think @Nea could help you with installation and configuration.I hope it's ok for you, that I moved this to the next topic. So I can close the old one and clean up a little bit

for sure it's going to be an android mobile or tablet but I haven't got all the info yet to test it with a specific client.
I have seen in the forum, that someone has experimented with his own client app.
I'll try to go through all the info from the link you send me and get back to you with more questions.
Thanks again! -
you could transport a video stream with voip but I prefer to stream it next to the real voip. The advantage is that you could call the stream all the time without to start a voip call. In the future it's also possible to start a call and show this stream. Possible apps to do that are the doorpi app from @Wal (here: DoorPi Android App ) or to use a similar app like the elcom app. For this standalone stream you need a tool like the mjpg-streamer.
If you want to use the video within voip so you have to set the right parameter in your doorpi.ini (SIP-Phone -> video_device)
